Friends and Patrons of Mind and Life
The purpose of our Mind and Life meetings, conferences, research projects and publications is to enhance our knowledge of life and the development of human compassion and wisdom. We can think of no work that is more needed in our world right now, and we would be honored to have you join us. Mind and Life Institute is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization that is supported by an exceptional group of deeply committed and visionary benefactors.

Friends at the Member, Sustainer, and Benefactor levels receive these benefits, plus invitations to private research meetings and occasional Mind and Life events held in the United States.

Patrons Program
We also invite those of you interested in joining our founders to become Patrons of Mind and Life. Patrons are a small group of individuals at the heart of our work who provide donations of $25,000 or more per year for multiple years. Our Patrons receive the same benefits as our Friends, plus an invitation to join us at our private Mind and Life meetings in Asia.

If you are interested in becoming a Mind and Life Patron, please contact us for more information.

What Your Contribution Supports
Our Friends and Patrons fund the collaborative partnership between Buddhism and science. With your help we develop programs to guide and support this collaboration for the purpose of improving the human condition. Some of our current and proposed projects include:

Collaborative Science Meetings — Private meetings between scientists, the Dalai Lama, and highly accomplished Buddhist masters to identify areas for productive collaboration and research.
Public Scientific Conferences — Public meetings such as Investigating the Mind, for the scientific research community and interested professionals.
Research Projects — Specific research projects such as Cultivating Emotional Balance, Researching Meditation and Mental Training, and ongoing work in the labs of scientists who participate in Mind and Life research projects.
Publications and Outreach — Production of the Mind and Life books based on our public and private science meetings.
